The purpose of this ministry is to follow in the footsteps of the 1st century church in regards to proclaiming the gospel, promoting the kingdom of God, prioritizing discipleship and putting the truth of God in opposition to the error of present-day cults. Following God's plan and utilizing the Lord's power we seek to build a ministry which will not, "be waiting for the rapture, but working toward Christ's imminent return." Our focus is upon the Great Commission given to the saints of God in Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." We seek to allow the love of God which is "shed abroad" in our hearts, to put feet to our faith and carry the gospel light into a darkened community.

God being our power and strength:

We will witness, work and pray toward the end result that unbelievers will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savour. We will proclaim the truth that Jesus Christ's death, burial and resurrection gives victory over sin, death, Hell and the grave. All who trust in the blood of His saving sacrifice are absolved from the condemnation of their sin and receive eternal life. We stand on the truth that, "whosoever will may come." Our heart's desire is that those who are caught up in false religions will be touched by God's ministry and understand their doctrinal error when exposed to the truth of His Word. We have a tremendous concern for those who are caught up in New Age, Jehovah's Witness, Mormons, Christian Scientists, Satanism and the occult. We do not want to point fingers, denounce or disparage; only to disagree and present the truth of God that there may be clearer understanding and knowledge with which to make an informed choice. Our desire is to "glorify God in our bodies" which have been "bought with the price" of Christ's death. To present ourselves "a living sacrifice", "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" and inherit eternal life.

The Master's Mustard Seed seeks to reach out into Jacksonville and the surrounding communities with the love of Christ. To politely and peacefully announce the "good news" that the God of Glory came to this Earth in flesh as Jesus Christ. He was virgin born, lived a sinless life and died a substitutionary death to pay for the sins of all those who will believe by faith. His ensuing resurrection and victory over death assures us of everlasting life and the grave has no hold upon those who will accept Him as Lord and Savour.
